Andrea Ruiz-Lopez

Teacher –

Andrea was born and raised in San Diego, California. Even though her Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University was in classical archaeology, teaching was always her passion. She now has a dual Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Hunter College. After teaching second grade for four years at Haven, she is glad to be a fourth-grade teacher helping all students succeed and is very excited to continue her work at Haven Academy!

In her free time, Andrea enjoys boxing, listening to live music, playing the trumpet, and eating with friends.
