Courtney Myers

Courtney began her career in education as a New York Teaching Fellow over fifteen years ago. She spent two years at P.S 132 in the Bronx before becoming a founding inclusion teacher at Haven Academy, where she taught first, second, and third grades and later became the Director of Early Childhood. Courtney also spent several years in Washington DC, where she coached new teachers for the DC Teaching Fellows program before becoming Assistant Principal of H.D. Cooke Elementary School.

Courtney has a B.A in Theatre and Performance Studies from U.C Berkeley, as well as a Masters in Urban Education from Mercy College. She is certified in General and Special Education in NY, Illinois, and the District of Columbia. Additionally, Courtney has had extensive training in Orton-Gillingham instruction.
