Jalysa was raised in Brooklyn, but moved to North Carolina during her adolescent years. She knew from a young age that working with children is the path that she was going to choose as a fulfilling career choice. She Graduated from North Carolina A&T with a Bachelor’s in Child Development & Family Studies. She then moved back to NYC immediately after graduation to join the Teaching Fellows program to pursue a Master’s in Special Education. She believes that all children can have the same opportunities, with a little bit of nurturing and encouragement, all students can be successful no matter the circumstances!
