Juliana Almeida

Juliana was born and raised in Brazil. She started her career in education while still in college, teaching English as a New Language at a language school where she was quickly promoted to an admin position. After graduating from college, she moved to Germany for a year to work as a language tutor while obtaining her Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification, which led her to teach children in Vietnam for 2 years in both private and public schools. After that, she worked as a preschool teacher in New Zealand. In 2018, she moved to NYC where she pursued her Master’s in Teaching with a double major in Childhood Education and Special Education. Before coming to Haven, Juliana taught first grade at another charter school in Brooklyn. When not teaching, Juliana likes to explore the cultural and arts scene NY has to offer and try different foods.
