Teacher –
Sasha was born in Queens, NY. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from George Washington University, with a minor in Creative Writing. After graduating college, Sasha moved to Washington State and taught after-school science classes. She realized that her true passion was education, so she decided to move back to New York to pursue a teaching career. She lived in Brooklyn and attended Hunter College, and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education. Sasha then worked for 4 years at a charter school in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, where she taught in a first grade classroom and in a second grade ICT classroom. Sasha is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of learning in her students and to helping all students succeed. She is excited to be continuing this work as a first grade teacher at Haven Academy.
When she is not teaching, Sasha enjoys cooking, camping, and going to concerts.
